OMG, Rick Monday has just surpassed Cal Ripken Jr. as my favorite player all-time! This video was awesome. It’s the first I ever heard of it, as far as I can remember, and I’m 50 years old. At first I was curious as to why I never saw it; then I realized, I was in basic training–USAF–when this happened, and on that date, we weren’t yet allowed to watch much television. We were all too busy trying to stay out of the TI’s way.
Anyway, great video. I’m gonna add this blog to my bookmarks; it seems to be a good one.

Quite possibly the best play in baseball?

I know its an old clip, but a Canadian friend of mine posted this linkto what he thinks is the best play ever in baseball, made by the Chicago Cubs Rick Monday in 1976.
